Maine Mavericks is a local horse club open to all. We have an excellent show ring at the Broome County Fairgrounds in Whitney Point, NY. Each year we run eight club shows which consist of four Performance and four Gymkhana, you must join as a member in order to show at the club shows. The club shows count towards year-end awards which are handed out per division. To be eligible for end of the year awards, members are required to attend 3 club shows in their division, help at a fundraisers and shows to fulfil a 4 hour work requirement before the end of the club show season.
We wrap up our show season with our two OPEN shows which have day-end division championships.
We also regularly host one NBHA show each year. The non-member fee is waived for
Maine Maverick Members.

GYMKHANA
Gymkhana consists of barrels, poles, cloverleaf, 50 yard dash, and other fun patterns.
PERFORMANCE
Our Performance shows offer English, Western and Ranch disciplines, riders are
welcome to cross-enter Ranch.
Western and English Classes consist of showmanship, halter, horsemanship, pleasure, equitation, hunter under saddle.
Ranch Open Walk-Trot and Open classes include Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Riding and Ranch Confirmation classes.
